Morocco: Ramadan and Religion Across a Country

Morocco: full of the kindest smiles, diverse landscapes, and the most beautiful religious moments. At 7 o’clock each day, the streets would be filled with the sound of calls to prayer as the sun would set. It was an exciting moment to watch as people would break their fasts every single day. Being in a Muslim country during the celebration of Ramadan was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The way the hustle and bustle of the city centers would fall silent as people celebrated with their meals. Even in the middle of the Sahara desert, the Ramadan celebrations continued and it was unique to watch the different ways people would connect to their religions and spirituality.
