Being a country that is 85% Christian, there are churches and cathedrals covering the streets of Mombasa with the major one being the Holy Ghost Cathedral. However, right down the road behind random shops is a hidden gem of the Shiv Temple. The temple serves as a community hub for the minority population of Hindus living in Mombasa and as one of the headquarters of the Hindu Union of Mombasa.
